I handed in my last EMA on 5th October – a far cry from the days when deadlines used to whistle past my ears as I typed or scribbled frantically – the deadline was 7th October. I could have probably read through it again or rewritten a section or two, but meh.
I got the result in mid December, but then there were a few shenanigans about whether the result stood up because the deadline for the completion of the full Open MA was 1st October and I handed my EMA in on 5th October (yes, I am that proud of handing it in two days early). The OU authorities came good though, and I am now the proud owner of an Open MA (Pass with Merit – yes MERIT). The nature of the MA makes me 66.6% historian and 33.3% education technologist and apparently this isn’t such a strange mix.
I’ll be back with more musings about all things TEL this year. Right now I’m looking at content creation tools that will allow me to create some HTML5 assets that I can slot into my learning plans – videos and articles are nice, but you sometimes want to throw in a knowledge check, or a quick interaction just to keep people interested.
