200 words on my plans for addressing issues of ethics and equitable TEL.
The general thrust of this question is, again, inappropriate for my context. It assumes that I am working in an educational environment rather than a workplace learning environment, and overestimates the power I have to create mini manifestos and plans. From a perspective of workplace learning, I can:
- undertake to ensure that learning modules will be created using Universal Design principles.
- The language throughout will be sensitive to learner context as far as possible, for example;
- no gender-specific terms
- written for a global audience with no region specific idioms or jargon
- avoid stereotyping and ensure the content is culturally sensitive
- Examples will, where possible, be taken from different regions and contexts. Where it is not possible to get a region-specific example, the language and context will be santised to focus on the essential thrust of the story (usually the problem and how to use skills/experience to resolve it).
