This portfolio entry is focused on your existing use of OER and the impact, if any, of studying the course materials on this topic. It is intended as a prompt for writing a professional/personal development narrative that can be used for:
tracking any changes in your attitudes, understanding or practice
identifying aspects of your practice that could be the focus of future development or evaluation
a means of identifying priority skills development areas
a source of evidence that could be used to support a case for professional recognition
a source of evidence of your skills as a reflective practitioner
a place to store resources related to the portfolio tasks
evidence to include in TMA 03.

Experience of OER has been limited to two areas:
- Professional coding resources from the W3C consortium. Really useful just in time resources that help me with simple coding issues.
- Publicly available history resources for local history/family research – have found a few interesting historical artefacts that have been digitised by volunteers.
- Also when studying for MA used extensive crowdsourced research data (Old Bailey records from the 17th/ 18th century)
I don’t think this week’s activities have changed any of that. I was aware of the resources before (especially for history). I may use some general information to back up my workplace learning research, or provide extra resources for my learners, but OER in terms of online textbooks aren’t my target area.
